Memories and Moments of 2009....

We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year’s Day…

One of the most inspirational moments of 2009 was the inauguration of President Barak Obama....

Great leaders like Abraham Lincoln, Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King and many others created a process of change which affected the whole world. The world began to think ‘Peace and Unity’ …Their legacy has been rejuvenated by Barak Obama at a time when the world needs a fundamental shift in consciousness.

What does he stand for? Through the medium of politics he is appealing to individuals around the world to examine their own values and ideals and to discover a means of better understanding for individual, national and international peace.

This landmark event has opened 2010 with vast opportunities…

What were your most inspirational moments of 2009? We would love for you to share your personal memorable moments of 2009, however small, to bring forth HOPE for many...

Thank you and happy sharing...

Memories of 2009- My Special Moment 'Angels of Care'

Dear All,

We are involved in a project of the training of under-privileged young girls from the villages around Andhra Pradesh, South India to become qualified nurses at the Nursing College in Bangalore. India

It was the most memorable moment to see their progress and the hopes and aspirations with which they have taken their mission. Our recent meeting was heart wrenching as they showed so much love and care while they talked to us about their future.

They touched us with the words 'Why do you love us so much when we are not your family?"

We left them with our eyes fillled with tears but look forward to their successful graduation when they become angels of care...Pradip Trivedi

The rock of all ages...

Dear friends, Having read the above posts, I am inspired to share with you one of my moments, Thank you for this opportunity...

I was in Australia recently and experienced the plight of the Aborigines...their cry for connectedness, their hopes for a better health, and their sacredness of their ancestral links... An aboriginal dance group opened an international health conference - with their song of blessings and hope for the well being of everyone...

Soon after, I visited Uluru - the sacred Ayers Rock, where sunrise and sunset are marked with changing colours every few seconds..and although this reflects sandstone rock formation, it has a deep and a profound meaning to the ancient Aboriginal culture of connecting to their spirit..

My memorable moment of connecting to the Sacred Oneness....I hope we can all do this a little more in 2010...

Dear All,

What inspired me the most was one of my major assignments in my degree. I am currently in my final year, studying BA Graphic Information Design. I've always wanted to do more than just design posters or leaflets, etc; and this time our assignment was to design "assistive technology" for people with a chronic disease. For the first time, I felt like my career/course had a more deeper purpose than to just design something that looks "good." I realised it was more about solving problems and making someone's life easier.

I chose to work with a person I know who has Parkinson's Disease. My brief was to create a system or device that would help the patient in their everyday life. I read and watched remarkable stories about Parkinson's Patients all around the world, what they struggled with and the emotional rollercoaster they go through everyday. It opened my eyes to so many things we can do everyday, to help people in need. It was an enthralling project where I was inspired to create a device that would enhance their communication, motivate them, and most of all make them feel good about themselves.

From that moment on, I'm inspired and happy to be on the career path I am now on. I hope and pray I get projects like these I can work on in the future and excited about what 2010 has in store for everyone!
